全国屈指の大所帯・木更津総合高等学校
たくさんのコースが存在し、およそ1800人の生徒が通っている大所帯としても知られる木更津総合高等学校。元は木更津中央高等学校として開校したが、2003年に清和女子短期大学附属高等学校と合併し、現在の名称になった。
野球部が力を付けたのはその合併以降で、2012年と2013年の夏の甲子園連続出場は、千葉県勢にとって久々だった。
プロ野球選手も輩出しており、木更津中央時代は快速球で名を馳せた与田剛氏、合併後は横浜DeNAベイスターズの井納翔一投手が通っていた。
近年の強さは随一・専修大学松戸高等学校
2015年全国高等学校野球選手権大会千葉県大会の優勝校である専修大学松戸高等学校は、前年の2014年も準優勝を果たしており、確実に力をつけてきた高校だ。
2015年はエースで4番の原嵩投手（現千葉ロッテマリーンズ）と主軸の渡邉大樹選手（現東京ヤクルトスワローズ）を中心に予選を勝ち進み、2年連続の決勝進出を果たすと、習志野高校を破って悲願の夏の甲子園初出場を果たした。
千葉県最多の甲子園出場歴・千葉県立銚子商業高等学校
千葉県立銚子商業高等学校は、県内高校野球の歴史において春8回、夏12回という甲子園出場最多記録を保持し、全国制覇の経験もある名門校だ。ロッテの黎明期を支えた木樽正明氏、シャープな打撃と華麗な守備で巨人ファンを魅了した篠塚和典氏、中日でホームラン王を獲得し「ヘディング事件」でも話題になった宇野勝氏など、数々の名プロ野球選手を輩出している。
現在は私立校に押され気味で、2005年以来夏の出場からは遠ざかってるものの、名門復活に向けて「黒潮打線」の活躍に期待が大きい。
千葉県有数のスポーツ校・千葉経済大学附属高等学校
野球の他にも、たくさんのスポーツ分野が充実している千葉経済大学附属高等学校。2004年に夏初出場を果たすと、2006年、2008年にも出場し、千葉県内における強豪高校としての地位を確立した。広島東洋カープの丸佳浩選手の出身校としても知られている。
高い実績を持つ部活動は自転車競技、卓球、女子バスケットボール、女子ソフトボール、バトントワラーズ、レスリングと多岐にわたり、今後も活躍が期待されている。
心強い応援を背に 習志野市立習志野高等学校
習志野市立習志野高等学校は、千葉県の公立では有数の強豪だ。阪神ファンの方は、「ミスタータイガース」掛布雅之二軍監督の出身校としても記憶しているだろう。
習志野高校は野球部の強さだけでなく、吹奏楽部の応援も高い評価を受けており、部員達はスタジアム全体に音を響き渡らせる力強さに加え、オリジナル曲の「レッツゴー習志野」で球児たちを盛り立てる心強い存在なのだ。
同校出身で地元の千葉ロッテマリーンズに入団した福浦和也選手が夏に打席に立つと、マリーンズ応援団からこの曲が流されることでも知られている。
